Goals

The workshop aims to enhance key leaders at Stada Bulgaria in understanding and influencing the motivation of their teams. The workshops included various tools and practices for uncovering internal and social motivators. The key objectives included:
  • Extending the knowledge to identify the personal and social motivators of employees.
  • Acquiring skills to create a motivational environment through effective approaches and targeted actions.
  • Developing the ability to support employees’ self-motivation.
  • Practically applying the principles of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to achieve stable and sustainable achievements within the organisation.

Target audience:
The workshop was designed for leaders at Stada Bulgaria who sought to enhance their skills in managing people and team motivation and to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing productivity and engagement in dynamic times.

Design

"Managing Motivation at the Workplace" workshop was based on an interactive and practical approach, which included:
  • A preparatory meeting with participants to establish individual goals.
  • Digital content featuring an engaging training animated series.
  • Sessions dedicated to recognising personal and social needs, based on real-life case studies.
  • Role-playing and simulations where participants assumed roles to explore motivators through questioning and observation.
  • Assignments between sessions for the practical application of the learnt concepts.
  • A final transfer session for feedback and discussion of the achieved results and objectives.

Results

Following the workshop, the participants - leaders at Stada Bulgaria - reported significant improvements and tangible outcomes within their teams, as evidenced by the following achievements:
  • Enhanced Understanding and Use of Intrinsic Motivators: Managers developed the skills to recognise and identify the personal and social needs of employees, using this knowledge to foster a more motivating work environment. This led to more effective management approaches grounded in the actual needs and preferences of team members.
  • Application of Effective Questioning and Empathy: Participants learnt techniques for conducting conversations that uncover employees’ intrinsic motivation. Through empathetic engagement and carefully framed questions, managers were able to reveal the hidden drivers of their teams’ motivation, resulting in stronger connections between managers and staff and enhanced trust within the teams.
  • Development of Personal Self-Improvement Plans: Each manager created an individual development plan to integrate the workshop insights into their daily practice. These plans supported the long-term application of new knowledge and skills, ensuring sustainable improvements in team motivation.
